Abstract

Antibiotics are medicines used to treat or prevent bacterial Infections they can either kill or Inhibit the growth of bacterial In the present article an endeavor has been made to present an overview of history and golden age of discovery of antibiotics. Antimicrobials have been in use for many thousands of years in a variety of formats. Hero we give an overview of the history of antibiotic discovery, the major classes of antibiotics this article gives a very brief overview of discovery of first antibiotics and golden age of antibiotics In this article the most Important Antibiotic classes discovery, activity spectrum and mode of action will presented.
