A LITERARY REVIEW ON ATATTVABHINIVESH W.S.R. TO PPDTHE PARANOID PERSONALITY DISORDER

. Abstract One of the greatest physician of Ayurveda, Acharya Charak has given a detailed description of two main psychological disorders namely Unmad and Apasmar. He described Atattvabhinivesh in the chapter of Apasmar. The word Atattvabhinivesh is made of two Sanskrit words Atattva and Abhinivesh. Atattva means inexistence and Abhinivesha means inward entry. According to the above meanings, in a person who is suffering from this disorder, such kinds of thoughts enter into his mind which are actually not existed. The Attvabhinivesh can be correlated with the PPD (paranoid personality disorder). The patients having PPD never agree with the explanations, facts and evidences given by the other people.
