Abstract

All the skin disease in ayurveda have been discussed under broad heading ‘kustha’  125 million people worldwide-2 to 3 percent of total populationhave psoriasis, according to the World psoriasis Day consortium.  In India incidence rate of Kitibh Kustha (psoriasis) is 2.8% of total population including both genders. This incidence rate will be getting increased with upcoming era because of changes in day to day life style, and if family history.  The 1st shows an onset in the teenage and early adult years, appears between the age of 15 and 25, but can develop at any age, family history.  Psoriasis is not a cosmetic problem. Nearly 60 percent of people with psoriasis reported their disease to be a large problem in their everyday life.
