A CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTANDING OF MANASIKA ETIOLOGICAL FACTORS IN DISEASE FORMATION THROUGH AYURVEDA CLASSIC

. Abstract Acharya Charaka in Sutrasthana has referenced that Sharir, Indriya, Mana, Atma is "Ayu" and Mana, Sharir, Atma together called as Tridanda (mainstays of life). Mana structures a scaffold between Indriya (Receptors) and Atma (soul). Typical and adjusted working of Mana assists individual with getting information, gives capacity to think, to be intellectually sound. Mana has Satwaguna and Raja and Tama Doshas. Anomaly of Manasik Doshas causes Vitiation of Vata, pitta, Kapha Dosha which prompts Pragyaparadha. Vitiation of this large number of elements result into infection. In Ayurvedic Original copies like Bruhatrayi, Laghutrayi Samhitas, there is a reference of Mana as a particular reason in vitiation of Agni, Strotas, Dhatu and so forth. In different illnesses Acharyas has referenced Manas Bhavas as one of the significant Hetu like Unmada, Apasmara. Manasik Hetu alludes to extensive variety of mental states like Kama, Chinta, Bhaya,Krodha, Irshya, Kshobha and so on. Chinta, Shoka, Manodwega causes vitiation of Agni. Manasik Hetu is one of the significant figure the pathogenesis of Mahagada. e.g., Vatavyadhi, Kushtha, Udara and so forth. In Strotas like Udakavaha, Rasavaha, Swedavaha Manasik Hetu assumes a part in Dushti. Jwara vyadhi i.e., Kamaj, Bhayaj, Shokaj Jwara, Pandu Vyadhi, Dwishtarthaj Chhardi, Medoroga, Aalasya, Vegasandharanaj, Dhatu-Kshayajanya Rajayakshama there is a reference of Manasik Hetu. Acharya Charaka in Sutrasthan has referenced Three sorts of Chikitsa (treatment) where he has given equivalent significance to Satwavjaya Chikitsa.
