Abstract
The present study was aimed to investigate Preliminary Phytochemical
Investgation and Evaluation of hydro-alcoholic leaf extract of Acacia
nilotica Linn (HLEAN). The plant materials was collected, aunticated
and subjected for drying then made into course powder. The powder
plant material is subjected to cold maceration and extracted with
soxhlet apparatus by using hydro-alcoholic to get extract. This extract
is subjected to Preliminary Phytochemical Investgation and
pharmacological evaluation on Swiss albino mice. The acute toxicity
studies were carried out to evaluate the drug’s toxicity and It shows
toxicity at a dose of 3500 mg/kg b.w. The analgesic activity of leaf
extract of Acacia nilotica was evaluated by using hot plate method in
Swiss albino mice has been conducted at a dose of 100 and 200 mg/kg
b.w respectively which shows significant level of *P
