Abstract

DESIGN, SYNTHESIS AND EVALUATION OF TRIAZINE DERIVATIVES AS ANTI-PARASITIC AGENT

Rajnish Kumar* and Garima Tiwari

.

Abstract

The term parasite refers an organism which resides in the body of another living organism to get nutrients for survival. As few parasites do not affect adversely hosts. However, some parasites act as causative agent for different infections or illnesses. Infections raised by parasites is major issue in tropical/sub-tropical regions worldwide. This study was based on the synthesis of triazine 1,3,4- triazole derivatives. Research on triazine derivatives have been promising because of its various biological/pharmacological potentials. It is already known that the addition of mannich base into an organic molecule leads to dramatic alternations in its pharmacological action. Thus, it was worthful to synthesize some different derivatives in triazine moiety. All the synthesized compounds were found as antiparasitic against both the parasites used but cM4 shown optimum antiparasitic potential. This study, suggests that these synthesized compounds can be evaluated against different parasites species i.e., anthelmintic, anti-malarial etc. to use clinically.

Keywords: Synthesis, triazine derivatives, evaluation, anti-parasitic activity, parasites.
