Abstract
One of the 31 Nasarogas, Pratishyaya is regarded by Ayurveda as
being one of the most significant illnesses. The state in which Vata
Kapha dusti was noticed was described as Pratishyaya by Acharya
Sushruta. In the fight against urdhvajatrugata rogas, Nasya plays a
crucial part. Pachana, Snehan, Swedana, Nasya, and Vardhman pippali
Rasayana comprise therapy protocol in this case of Pratishyaya. In the
modern science the symptoms of Vataj Pratishyaya can correlate with
allergic rhinitis. People of all ages are susceptible to allergic rhinitis, a
common respiratory disease. The main causes of this illness are living
a sedentary lifestyle, being exposed to cold weather, frequently using
an air conditioner, and consuming junk food, ice cream, cold
beverages, curd, and sour foods like pickles and sauce. This leads to thin nasal discharge,
headaches, eye pain and persistent sneezing, which disturbs sleep, disrupts everyday tasks,
and thus lower one’s performance as a whole.
