“VIROSOMES AS AN INNOVATIVE DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM”
Piyush S. Fand* Dhananjay A. Landge*
Abstract
Virosomes are reconstituted viral envelopes that can serve as vaccines
and vehicles for the delivery of various macromolecules into cells. The
prospect of virosome-based drug delivery and targeting systems is an
intriguing innovative work field. Because virosomes are
biocompatible, biodegradable, non-poisonous, and non-auto
immunogenic, efforts have been made to use them as antibodies or
adjuvants, as well as drug and organic conveyance frameworks for
therapeutic purposes. The success of virosomal drug delivery is
dependent on the strategy used to create the specified bioactive
materials and fuse them into the virosomes. Virosome innovation could
be used to deliver peptides, nucleic acids, or qualities and medications
such as anti-toxins, anticancer agents, and steroids.
