CONCEPTUAL STUDY OF ROLE OF RASA DHATU DUSHTI IN POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME [P.C.O.S]

Abstract

PCOD is most common cause of health problem that can affect teen girls and young women. It has an impact on various metabolic processes. PCOD is repeatedly upcoming cause of infertility in many couples. It is mainly related with ovarian dysfunction which shows the effect on menstrual cycle like irregular menses, delayed menses, heavy or less blood flow etc. Doctors can be treat this ovarian dysfunction by Ayurvedic treatment instead of hormonal treatment. Ovarian dysfunction means Aartava Dushti. Aartav is updhatu of Rasa Dhatu. Our body metabolism mainly depends on Dosha, Dhatu, Mala and Agni. In today’s era probably health problems are due to modernization of life style, change in eating habits, and unhealthy food. It causes Agnimandya which effects on production of Dhatu. This Dhatu Dushti starts from the Rasa Dhatu and further Dhatu respectively. So dushti of Rasa dhatu dushti can’t produce healthy Aartav(ovum). And repeatedly Aartava Dushti result into immature follicle, no ovulation, production of cyst and finally causes PCOD.
