ANTI PSORIATIC (KITIBHA HARA) EFFECT OF LAGHUMANJISHTHADI KWATH -A PILOT STUDY

Abstract

In Ayurveda all the skin diseases come under broad heading of “kustha’’. The disease is common, chronic and costly both in monetary term and quality of life with no reliable solution all over the world. Psoriasis is getting increased day by day due to changing life style, like eating virudha ahar, vidahi ahar, rakta dusthikar aahar, late night sleep and stressful life, etc. Psoriasis is one of the most common dermatological problems of unknown etiology. In allopathy medicine there is no proper treatment for this disease. They use corticosteroids and PUVA etc. This therapy can’t be used for long duration because of their systemic side effects as well as toxicity. Hence there is the need of the time to find out safe and effective treatment for psoriasis and in Ayurveda there is herbal drug extracts of plants which has very least possibility of side effects, and systemic toxicity and it improve quality of life of patients and simultaneously patients can perform their daily routine without any health problem. Here will see case study of eight patients suffering from kitibha kustha.
