‘CONCEPTUAL STUDY OF PARADI GUNAS WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO CHARAKA SAMHITA KALPASTHANA AS A LITERARY RESEARCH’

Abstract
Ayurveda has given utmost importance to fundamental principles as
they are the basics which need to be understood for understanding,
analysing and differentiating the normal and abnormal conditions, may
it be dosha’s, dhatu’s or qualities and actions of a dravya on body.
Ayurveda described guna as that which signifies the quality of a
dravya without which no karma is possible. Though many factors
attribute for success of a treatment, charaka has given prime
importance to paradi gunas, because even after having best of
chatushpada’s one cannot achieve success in therapeutics without
proper implementation of paradi guna’s. Proper planning at every
stage leads to success of physician. Kalpasthana describes twelve
chapters of drug formulation and dosage of drug, signs of misuse and use of Visha Dravya as
a medicine. Kalpasthana is easy for application of drugs for Vamana and Virechana.
Kalpasthana represent in easier way of drug induction for Karma's.
