A REVIEW ON: MEDICINAL PROPERTIES AND THERAPEUTICS USES OF AN ACMELLA ULIGINOSA (PIPULKA) PLANT

Abstract
An Acmella uliginosa is a perennial herbaceous plant which has a
various medicinal and pharmacological activities like antimicrobial,
anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, antifungal, antiseptic, anti- obesity,
immune stimulator, antipyretic, antioxidant, Antispasmodic, to treat
sore throat, to treat stomachache and mouth ulcer and also used to
relieve toothache. It is a flowering plant grown as an ornamental or
medicinal plant belongs to Daisy family Asteraceae and popularly
known as ‘subang Nenek’ or ‘Butang Baju siti fatimah’. It is found in
tropical and subtropical countries like Indonesia, India, South America,
Malaysia, West Indies, Brazil, Africa, Venezuela, etc.
