A REVIEW OF COMPILATION OF ASHTANG HRIDAYOKTA AMA CHIKITSA SIDDHANT

. Abstract The first aim of Ayurveda is to maintain healthy status of the people and the prevention of unborn diseases. Ayurvedic concepts point out that almost all the diseases have their root source in disturbed Agni. Due to Agnimandya, Aahararas remains undigested in Amashaya, called ‘Ama’. This Ama has tremendous capacity to vitiate Doshas and disturbing healthy status. Therefore, we have to focus on the Ashtang Hridayokta Ama Chikitsa Siddhant. In this era, we are living in society which is sophisticated more than requirement. Hence man becomes intentionally ignorant regarding the quantity, time, place, space of food and incapable to obey the rules of sound body maintenance as well as mental (psychosomatic) problems. This directly and indirectly acts on digestive system. The changing lifestyle of dietic and behavioural way leads to various diseases. So, if we do treatment of Ama which also subsides Lakshanas of Saam diseases. In this concept, we can compile the various types of Langhana Siddhantas in Ashtang Hridaya forAmapachana, normalisation of Agni and reduction of sign-symptoms of Ama.
