CONCEPTUAL STUDY OF TAIL BINDU PARIKSHA

. Abstract Ayurveda, which is not only a system of medicine but also a way of life. It priorities disease prevention and uses a holistic approach to treat various diseases. Diagnosis and prognosis are critical aspect of ayurvedic treatment. For the diagnosis of the disease many Parikshas such as Trividha Pariksha, Panchvidha Pariksha, and Ashtavidha Pariksha have been mentioned in Ayurvedic texts. Tail Bindu Pariksha which comes under Ashtavidha Pariksha, appears to be a simple procedure, yet it plays a crucial role in determining the patient’s condition, diagnosis and outlook. There is need to re -establish the results so they can be used in future. As a result, its applicability in the present era can be assessed and the new vistas can be explored by connecting modern knowledge to this old-age method.
