Abstract
Selenium nanoparticles, offer a wide range of possible uses. As a
result, they have received greater attention recently, and several
synthesis techniques have been implemented. The use of plant extracts
in green synthesis has grown in favor because it calls for non-toxic
solvents and temperate temperatures. Additionally, it safeguards the
environment and uses a readily available, biocompatible reducing
agent. In this review, we provide the most-latest information on the
capacity of various plant resources for selenium nanoparticle
production. Conditions for synthesis (temperature, precursor, extract
concentration and time) together with the properties of the resulting
product (composition, size, form). This review focusses on the green
methods and biological synthesis of Selenium nanoparticles and highlights their applications
in the pharmaceutical field, particularly cancer treatment.
Keywords: nanoparticles, selenium, green synthesis, anti-cancer activity.
