A CONCEPTUAL REVIEW OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUTRAKRICCHA

Abstract
The “Ayurveda” is a science of life with a holistic approach towards
health and personalized medicine. The diseases of urinary system were
categorizes in some common headings called Mutrakriccha, Mutraghat
and Prameha which are the diseased of Mutravaha Shrotasa and is
presented as an abnormalities related to either urine, physical behavior
of mituration and/or anatomical structure of urinary system. The
condition Mutrakriccha is charecterised as “Dukhena Mutra Pravriti”
which means pain during micturition. The main clinical features of
Mutrakrichha are pain, burning, or discomfort during urination should
be distinguished from other forms of bladder discomfort such as suprapubic
or retro-pubic pain, pressure, or discomfort that usually increases
with bladder volume. Abnormal growth of pathological organisms in the urinary tract is
known as Urinary Tract Infection. An attempt has been made to understand the different
types of Mutrakriccha in Perspective of modern science.
