Abstract
A case presented of chronic gastritis associated with Helicobacter
Pylori (H. Pylori) infection, which showed a resemblance with the
clinical features of Amlapitta and Krimi Roga described in Ayurveda.
The antibiotic therapy is encouraged as the first line of treatment. But
it did not give satisfactory results due to the development of resistance
to antibiotics with undesirable side effects. Later it was treated
successfully with Shodhana procedures like Virechana Karma and
Shaman Aushadhi. The symptoms are evaluated before and after
treatment which showed marked improvement in the condition of
patient.
