Abstract
Skin is the largest organ which reflects the both healthy and diseased
condition of the body. According to ancient Ayurved Samhitas, all skin
diseases are categorized under Kushtharoga. In the modern world, the
skin has greater cosmetic importance leading to boosting the
confidence and personality of an individual as well as attaining a
healthy mindset. Psoriasis is a non-infective, chronic inflammatory
disease of the skin, characterized by well-defined erythematous
plaques with a silvery scale. Psychological stress, physical injury, gut
dysbiosis are the major triggering factors in the exacerbation of the
disease. Any alteration in skin tone causes both mental and physical
distress in the patient. Scaling and itching in the papulosquamous skin
lesion caused by the autoimmune illness psoriasis interfere with the patient's daily activities.
The disease has continued to be a significant issue since it occurs frequently. There is no
known treatment for this illness. Modern medicine offers symptomatic alleviation but often
has long-term negative repercussions.
