AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF VENOUS ECZEMA- A CASE STUDY

Abstract
Vicharchika is a skin lesion of varying size with inflammation, itching
and bleeding. It is a Rakta Pradoshaja Vikara with the involvement of
three Doshas with dominance of Kapha Dosha. Venous eczema /
Stasis dermatitis occurs when there is a venous insufficiency or poor
circulation in the lower limbs, this leads to skin changes include
eczematous, erythematous papules or plaques of the lower extremities
bilaterally, particularly the medial malleolus. Ayurveda Shamana
Chikitsa resulted in effective management of the condition.
