A NEW APPROACH TO THE SYNTHESIS OF 4-THIAZOLIDINONE USING DCC AS CATALYST AND TO STUDY THEIR ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITIES

Abstract
Interesting scaffold 2,3-disubstituted 4-Thiazolidinone has been
synthesized by three component reaction between substituted 1,3-
disubstitued pyrazole- 4-carbaldehyde, Heterocyclic Amines and
Thiogycolic acid using DCC as a catalyst the reaction is monitored on
TLC plate, these synthesized compounds conformed on the basis of
spectral analysis such as IR, NMR and Mass spectroscopy. These
newly synthesized compounds show good to moderate microbial
activities as compared with standard drug.
