Abstract
Density, refractive index and ultrasonic velocity of sulphosalicylic acid
with concentration range (0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08 and 0.1) mole·kg-1 in
aqueous (0.025, 0.050 and 0.100) mol∙kg-1 solutions of d-mannose
have been measured at T= 303.15 K. The effects of concentration of dmannose
on different thermodynamic properties such as density,
refractive index and ultrasonic velocity have been calculated. Derived
thermodynamic properties such as apparent molar volume ( 2, V ),
partial molar volume (
o V2 ), isentropic compressibility ( s K ), apparent
molar isentropic compressibility ( S,2, ), partial molar compressibility
( 0
,2, S ) specific acoustic impedance ( z ) and atomic polarization ( a P )
are calculated by using measured properties. These properties have been explored in terms of
molecular interaction between solute and cosolute
Keywords: Thermodynamic properties, molecular interaction, antiracial drug, drug solution.
