Abstract
A green, mild, most efficient, eco-friendly procedure has been
developed for the synthesis of tetrahydro benzo [b] pyran derivatives
from one-pot three component condensation reactions of various
aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile and dimedone in aquous ethanol at
room temperature by using 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene(DBU)
as an efficient catalyst.
