A REVIEW ON SNIGDHA GUNA OF TWACHA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO SEBACEOUS GLANDS

Abstract
Ayurveda is all time science of this universe. It focusses on
preservation of health, diagnosis and treatment of diseased individual.
Shareera has different horizons and it is not just the structural entity of
body but also the physiological factors are important. It is made up six
anga among which twacha is one. Physiological parametres are
indicators of normal functioning of body which includes guna, dosha
in appropriate proportion. Skin being the outermost covering of body is
susceptible to maximum damage by external environment along with
internal disturbances of the body. Thus, the physiological properties of
skin must be known to identify any changes in normalcy. Also, these
physiological parametres vary from individual to individual based on
their prakriti. These parametres needs to be assessed as per prakriti so as to prevent any
upcoming disease.
