FAST DISSOLVING TABLET AND IT’S PREPARATION TECHNOLOGY- A NOVEL APPROACH

. Abstract Drug delivery technology has become extremely competitive and fast changing in the current scientific landscape, with ever increasing demand. Fast dissolving tablet (FDT) is one such creative and one of a kind medication delivery device that is quickly gaining interest in the rapid dissolving technology research area. Oral route is the most common and safest route of drug delivery because of wide range of drugs are administered through this route. Fast dissolving tablets (FDT), which dissolve or disintegrate quickly in water, were recently developed by researchers. Mouth saliva without intake of water FDT or MDT (mouth dissolving tablets) are examples of innovative medicine delivery that have solved various drawbacks including dysphagia or limited access to water while travelling. FDT can be a helpful substitute for conventional dose forms as well. This review article discusses several FDT preparation methods, quiet features, patented technologies, the mechanism of super disintegration, and its limitations. Keywords: .
