REVIEW OF ASHTAVIDHA PARIKSHA WSR TO NADI PARIKSHA

. Abstract Ayurved is a science of curing and preserving the health. Ayurved emphasizes on precise diagnosis of a disease before the treatment. For diagnosis, rog rogi pariksha are mentioned in classical ayurvedic texts i.e. trividha pariksha, ashtavidha pariksha, dashavidha pariksha etc. From this Ashtavidha pariksha is the most used. In Ashtavidha pariksha there are eight factors which are taken in consideration while examining the patient. Concept of nadi pariksha is described under the rogi pariksha i.e ashtavidha pariksha. Concept of nadi pariksha is given by many acharyas like bhavprakash, sharangdhar, yogratnakar, nadi pariksha by ravan Samhita, nadi vigyan by kanad. Nadi parikshan requires observation, perseverance, experience and skill. Nadi pariksha is an ancient art and science used as diagnostic and prognostic tool to determine the state of doshas, dhatus and malas, prakriti and vikruti and its effects. In this study an attempt is made to study the ashtavidha pariksha wsr nadi pariksha and its applicability in different aspects in clinical practices.
