Abstract

Dravya which grasps and take control over Samyoga can be understood as Graha (“Graha Upadaane”). Graha in a Baala is serious because of vulnerable age and dire necessity to keep the Samyoga together. Kashyapa Samhita, a remarkable Grantha for Kaumarabhritya yet less in practice has an exclusive Adhyaaya – Dhoopakalpa claiming Dhoopa as standalone treatment modality against Graha. Dhoopa owing to its Sukshmata can penetrate into Sharira, Indriya as well as Manas. This Adhyaaya has 40 Dhoopa Kalpa having Sthavara, Jangama Dravya categorised into Dhoopa, Pratidhoopa, Anudhoopa. For a comprehensive knowledge of this powerful Chikitsa Sadhana, this review has been taken up.
