Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is the etiological agent of acquired immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) that has created a major healthcare problem not only in India but also globally. The genetic structure virus contains both highly conserved & highly variable region. The highly variability of the virus accounts for drug resistance & evasion from immune response. This also poses a problem for development of successful therapy. In Ayurvedic system of medicine Amritasava may be good sources for new drug delivery to antiretroviral drug. Thus identity the botanical verification & Phytochemical screening of Tinospora cordifolia, Glycyrnihza globra, Withania Somnifera & prepare Amritasava, then the isolation & detection of Bio active compound from Amritasav afterward clinical trial of Amritasav on HIV positive patient may be effective for the prevention of HIV/AIDS.
