ROLE OF PARICHARYA IN GARBHINI

Abstract

Introduction- The experience of motherhood is an unprecedented feeling in a woman's life. Ayurveda the science of life has presented this very smoothly. From the conception of the child's birth to its birth in the real world, what activities, actions, diet and care should be taken for healthy arrival, it is found in Ayurveda under the heading “Garbhini Paricharya”. In the changing environment, it is necessary to give birth to a healthy, fully cultured breed. In garbhasansakar and paricharya Masanumasik Pathaya (monthly dietary regimen) Garbhoupaghatakar Bhavas (activities and substances which are harmful to fetus) Garbhasthapak Dravyas (substances beneficial to maintain the pregnancy), are main component. The full nine month diet is a unique strategy of Ayurveda. Along with the ahara, medication, lifestyle pattern yoga also useful and supportive to garbhini. Currently, 98% of stillbirths occur in low-to-middle-income countries and India has the highest number of stillbirths, with an estimated 592 100 deaths per year with WHO estimated rate of 22 per 1000 total births. By taken strict and proper prenatal and antenatal care we can definitely reduce the death ratio. Aim and objectives -The main intend behind advising Garbhini Paricharya is to provide proper growth of mother and fetus both, uncomplicated pregnancy, and delivery of healthy child of desired qualities with longevity. Material and methods – in below article we refer various ayurveda samhitas and ancient literature to study different methods, diet, activity mention for Garbhini paricharya. Conclusion -By the practice of prenatal care like monthly regimen the body, especially the reproductive tract, placenta, fetal membrane, abdominal area, sacral region, flanks and back become soft. Apan Vayu moves into its right path and direction, urine, feces and placenta are excreted or expelled easily by their respective passages and finally woman gains strength and complexion and she delivers easily at proper time as desired, excellent and healthy child with possessing all the qualities and long life.
