A SURVEY ON PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE, USE AND ATTITUDE ABOUT THE ROLE OF MULTIVITAMIN

. Abstract Vitamin are consuming among many people all over the world, as it come under OTC drug and also prescribed as a concomitant medication. Most of the people believe that they are safe and not causing any harmful effect. So we conduct a questionnaire based survey in palwal, Haryana to understand consumer knowledge and attitude towards the use of vitamin and also aware them the safe use. Methodology – A questioner based survey was conducted from sep2021to may 2022. The questionnaire was divided into 3 sections and each section contains the information regarding vitamin. Participants were approached at random after explaining the purpose of the study. Result- Total 749 responses were received out of which 210 were male and 290 were female. In this study 383(51%) participants taking vitamin. The most common source of information was found to be physician 64%, 27% were self prescribed, 4% were get information from internet while 5% were taking on the advice of family and relative. Among the users, 256 (66.8%) participants considered vitamin to be helpful. Conclusion- Result of this survey indicate the use of vitamin on daily basis as it available OTC and commonly prescribed by physician.
