MULTIFACETED APPROACH IN THE AYURVEDA MANAGEMENT OF PRISHTHAGRAHA W.S.R. TO SPINAL CANAL STENOSIS - A CASE REPORT

. Abstract In Today’s era Spinal canal stenosis is an emergency condition in which there is partial or complete loss of motor as well as sensory functions such as difficulty in walking, Paraesthesia, bowel- bladder incontinence and in severe cases even unable to walk so it needs immediate Surgical intervention as per modern treatment and after Surgery also in many of cases it is observed that recurrence occurs and the condition worsens than before. In this regard Ayuveda intervention comes with a great relief under the umbrella of Prishthagraha which not only avoids surgery but also provides complete relief from the ailment through multifaceted regimen which includes palliative(shaman chikitsa) treatment alongwith Vasti(Medicated enema) Chikitsa.
