Abstract

Lorazepam is used in the treatment of epilepsy. hence the present work was undertaken to Formulate sublingual strip of lorazepam with an objective to improve therapeutic efficiency Patient compliance and the bioavailability in the present study three formulation of oral drug delivery System of lorazepam were prepared as sublingual strips by solvent casting method by using natural polymer like pullulan with PEG-400 as plastizer, citric acid as salivary stimulant. Prepared sublingual strip Were evaluated for their weight variation, thickness, folding endurance, percentage drug content, tensile strength, swelling index. Evaluation parameters were discussed it was result the successful formulation of lorazepam sublingual strip in F2.because it has better percentage of drug content than the other formulation.
