Abstract
Groundwater has been considered major drinking water resource for the majority of people all over the world. Due to numerous activity arsenic contamination immensely and rapidly introduced into the nature and disturbed the quality of consumable water. This article examines different source of arsenic toxicities like natural sources (groundwater, atmospheric, weathering of rocks, river water and many more) and anthropogenic sources (mining, industrial waste, waste water and others) and global, national and regional arsenic presence. Arsenic contamination leads to various type of disease namely skin disorder, liver problems, cancer (liver, kidney, lungs, skin), neurological problem, digestive system disorder, reproductive
disorders, heart and blood vessel disease in human. With respect to these diseases many conventional ion-exchange, precipitation, adsorption, filtration, coagulation and modern remediation techniques: bio-sorption, advance membrane technologies, forward Osmosis, phytoremediation and nanotechnology are explained through this articles. In corresponding to various researches we comes to the conclusion that increasing arsenic toxicity negatively influenced human health and satisfyingly eliminated by sequential technique or methods.
