AYURVEDIC INTERPRETATION OF URINE ANALYSIS

. Abstract Ayurveda has laid basic foundation for any western medical branch. Thus, every modern concept can be interpreted from Ayurvedic perspective. Urine analysis is one of the commonly performed laboratorial investigation. It is a routine investigation advised for diagnosis and prognosis of the disease. It consists of physical, chemical and microscopic examination of urine sample obtained from patient. Similarly, Ayurveda states Mutra pariksha as one of the eight-fold examinations of the patient. Many diseases exhibit changes in normal urine composition as well as a group of Doshas and Dushyas involved. This paper tries to interpret urine analytical findings with dosha-dushyas of Vyadhi and to enlighten Urine Analysis from Ayurvedic perspective.
