Abstract
Fluoroquinolone-induced hypoglycemic episodes are a rare
occurrence. In this case report, we are talking about a 59-year-old
female who had hypoglycemic episodes following the administration
of the third-generation fluoroquinolone, levofloxacin. However,
because different fluoroquinolones have varied risks of hypoglycemia,
more research is needed to understand potential unidentified molecular
triggering factors.
Keywords: Hypoglycemia, Levofloxacin, Fluoroquinolones.
