. Abstract Drying is the removal of small amounts of water by supplying heat to cause thermal vaporization. It is a downstream operation and commonly utilized in the last stage of the process and thus has considerable importance. It means complete dryness or a condition known as air drying. Liquids can be organic such as chloroform, ethanol. It is possible when the environment is unsaturated with the water vapour. Humidity in the environment is an important determinant for drying of the solids. Several methods are available, thermal methods and freeze-drying technique. This research contains a brief study, comparative study on drying by hot air oven and tray dryer. This shows the efficiency of the equipment in drying is more in tray dryer. Keywords: Tray dryer, Hot air oven, Calcium carbonate, Drying. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
