Abstract

Arrowroot face powder, derived from the root of the arrowroot plant (Maranta arundinacea) has gained popularity as a natural alternative to traditional talc based face powder. This provides an overview of arrowroot face powder, its properties and its potential benefits for facial cosmetics. Arrowroot face powder is known for its absorbent qualities, making it effective in reducing excess oil and shine on the skin. It has a lightweight texture, which allows for smooth application and blending, resulting in a natural-looking finish. Moreover, arrowroot powder is often considered suitable for sensitive skin types due its gentle and non- irritating nature. One of the key advantage of arrowroot face powder is its talc- free composition. In contract, arrowroot powder offers a natural and safer alternative. It is free from harmful chemicals and typically does not contain additives, or synthetic ingredients.
