A REVIEW ARTICLE ON CONCEPT OF SROTAS

. Abstract According to Ayurveda, the concepts of Triguna, Tridosha, Tanmatra, Sapta Dhatu, Oja, Agni, Ama, and Srotas provide the foundation for histological analysis of the human body. The normality of all these components at both the micro and macro levels also ensures that the body functions normally. The Ayurvedic Samhitas provide a thorough explanation of the concept of Srotas. Srotas serves as the sole source of nutrition for the entire body. Each Srota is consistent with its unique originating factor. As a result, these should be researched in relation to the Moola (origin) of Srotas and the relevant affected entities. Srotas are any bodily pathways that aid in the movement of Doshas and Dhatus to their intended locations. As the knowledge of Srotas is available in different samhitas and have many theories explained by different Acharya’s. hence there is utmost need to collect all the data and elaborate the importance of srotas for relaization of their clinical importance.
