GARLIC IN OUR DIET- A NOVEL APPROACH TO BALANCE OUR SYSTEM

. Abstract Background: Garlic which a readily available, edible and tasty spice could be of benefit when eaten on daily basis. It‟s a wonderful flavouring agent. Aim: this review aims at detailing health benefits of consuming garlic and role of dietary or supplementary diet of garlic on our system. Methods: review articles and original research articles related to use of dietary garlic nad history of garlic as available of EBSCOhost and pubmed were included in the study. Keywords such as “medicinal” “Values” “garlic” were used for search. Conclusion: garlic has been used for its medicinal properties since the ancient age. It is clearly evident that garlic is a very good anti-oxidant, anti hypertensive, anticancer and anticholesterolemic spice.
