Dr. Reena Choukikar*, Prof. Dr. Gulab Chand Pamnani and Dr. Prabhakar Vardhan
. Abstract A cataract is an eye illness where the typically clear lens has become opaque, obstructing the passage of light. It is a slowly progressing condition and a significant global cause of blindness. The three stages of the same disease that are stated in our ancient literature as being Timira, Kacha, and Linganasha are used by Ayurveda to describe vision problems. For the effective application of Ayurvedic principles, it is still necessary to know the pathophysiology of Netra Rogas and their managements, despite the wonderful detailed explanation of Netra Rachna Sharir in Ayurvedic scriptures. In the authentic Ayurvedic classic "Susruta Samihita," several therapy procedures for cataract have been prescribed instead of surgery. Application of "Anjana" (collyrium) is described there as one successful method among many others. This activity illustrates the evaluation and treatment of cataract, and Review the role of Vimala varti Anjana in Kacha with special reference to cataract. Keywords: Timira, Kacha, Linganasha, Drusti Mandala, Cataract. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
