Abstract
Vitis vinifera, commonly known as the grapevine, is a woody vine
species belonging to the family Vitaceae. It is the primary species used
in the production of grapes for winemaking. Vitis vinifera is native to
the Mediterranean region, specifically in Southern Europe, Central
Europe, and Western Asia. It has been cultivated for thousands of
years and has given rise to numerous cultivated varieties and cultivars
