AYURVEDIC PROSPECTIVE OF MUKHADUSHIKA: A REVIEW

. Abstract Mukhadushika is explained by Sushruta under Kushudrarogas. Mukhadushika is a chronic inflammatory condition of skin mostly found in young age peoples. Shalmali throne like eruption on face is called Mukhadushika. Mukhadushika commonly occurs at puberty stage, that's why it is also called as Yuvanpidika or Tarunyapitika. According to modern science Mukhadushika can be co-related with Acne Vulgaris. Because of Acne white heads, black heads and pimples appears on face. In this modern era, this is burning issue in the Adolescence. It affect both genders and people of all ages. Treating this Mukhadushika in the initial stage itself makes easier and doesn't leave of any scars. If Mukhadushika is not treated in early stage then they start growing rapidly and turn into severe condition. Sometime permanent scars appear on the skin. Which mentally depresses individual and face insecure. Hence there is need of proper treatment. In Ayurveda different treatment modalities are explained to treat the Mukhadushika.
