CONCEPT OF DAUHRIDHYA AWASTHA IN AYURVEDA

Abstract
The historical Ayurvedic literature recorded in numerous Samhita is
not only distinctive, nevertheless additionally scientific, covering all
elements of human life. Pregnancy is the most essential and lifechanging
event in every woman's life. The entire process of the
embryo's growth is gradual and steady, and it takes about 9 months to
complete. The head, the upper body, and limbs begin distinguishing
themselves during the fourth month, the motor and sensory nerve
tissues begin to grow, the heart takes its position, and the fetus
communicates its needs and wishes through the mother's physiology.
Dauhridhyaawastha is the situation in which the mother's heart
connects to the foetus's heart, thus pregnant women are referred to
as Dauhridini. Dauhridini is a time when the mother's heart connects with the foetus's
heart. Non-fulfilment of the pregnant lady's wants may result in the birth of a kid with
congenital birth abnormalities. In this paper, we have explained Dauhridhyaawastha
based on numerous Ayurvedic texts.
