VAMANA KARMA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF SHEETA PITTA W.S.R URTICARIA

. Abstract Urticaria is a dermatological condition characterized by itchy bumps that appear suddenly on any area of the skin. Individual lesions usually last from a few minutes to a few hours and then disappear without a trace. In Ayurveda Urticaria can be correlated with Shitapiita due to similarities in clinical features. Modern science has developed treatments like Anti Histamines, but there are still many side effects and the chance of relapse is also high in this condition. Therefore, it is highly necessary to find an effective treatment for Shitapitta. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Vamana Karma (therapeutic emesis) in the treatment of Shitapitta. This patient was induced with Vamana (therapeutically induced emesis) to achieve adequate control. The study shows that Vamana treatment (therapeutic emesis) significantly controlled the disease. therefore it can be used in clinical practice.
