INTEGRATED APPROACH FOR ANCIENT HERBAL DRUGS IN HEPATOCELLULAR DISEASES – A REVIEW

. Abstract Liver is taken into consideration among one of the critical organs of human body as it's far associated with metabolism, detoxification, circulation and so on. In keeping with World Health Organisation, liver disease is the 10th most common cause of death in India and every one in 5 individuals may be stricken by it. No matter the continuous research and innovation, contemporary medicine does no longer have a lot to provide. However, Ayurvedic sciences have shown promising consequences in the past and shall continue to do so. There are numerous drugs which have tremendous effect on liver consisting of daruharidra, kaakmaachi, punarnava, pippali, apamarga, bhunimba, paarijata, rohitak, kasani, sharpunkha etc. The existing study tries to validate as to how those herbs noted in ancient texts have a outstanding effect on liver even today. The pharmacological action of chemical phytoconstituents present in hepatoprotective drugs have been analysed to establish that historic information stands true even now. As a result, it's far the need of the hour to look powerful and safe hepatoprotective ideal remedy from the Ayurvedic treasure of therapeutics for the welfare of mankind.
