Pramod Motiram Bhosale* and Dr. Manmeet Singh
Abstract
Nanosuspensions have emerged as a promising solution to the
challenges associated with delivering poorly water-soluble drugs.
These sub-micron colloidal dispersions offer a versatile platform for
enhancing drug solubility, bioavailability, and therapeutic efficacy
across various routes of administration. In this review, we
comprehensively examine the applications, benefits, challenges, and
future perspectives of Nanosuspensions in drug delivery & their
utilization in oral, Parenteral, topical, and Transdermal drug delivery
systems which will highlight the potential of Nanosuspensions to
revolutionize the field of pharmaceuticals. The scale-up and
manufacturing challenges are discussed in the context of ensuring
product consistency and quality. Looking ahead, we discuss the exciting prospects of
personalized Nanosuspension-based therapies, paving the way for tailored treatments that
optimize therapeutic outcomes while minimizing side effects. This review aims to provide a
comprehensive overview of the current state of Nanosuspensions in drug delivery and to
stimulate further research in this dynamic and evolving field.
