COMPARATIVE PHYTOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF TULSI DECOCTION WITH ITS MODIFIED DOSAGE FORM

. Abstract Tulsi is a traditional and medicinal plant. Tulsi decoction is a classical formulation which is used for immunity booster, respiratory tract problems and also used wide range. Tulsi decoction is very effective and safe for treating many disorder. However, decoction have to be used only in a fresh state due to shorter shelf life and loss of stability. This decoction preparation method is leads to decreasing the patient compliance and is also time consuming. Hence, the objective of the present study is to convert the tulsi decoction to consumer friendly novel dosage form names freeze dried form and traditional ganasara form. Methodology therefore we compare the phytochemical constituents and antimicrobial activity of tulsi decoction with its modified dosage forms comparison of 3 dosage forms comprises phytochemical screening.
