EFFECT OF BHUMYAMALAKI CHURNA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF SHWETA-PRADARA - A SINGLE CASE STUDY

Abstract
Shweta-Pradara or abnormal white vaginal discharge or Leucorrhoea
is a symptom which is found in many Yonivyapadas (Gynecological
disorder). Women in reproductive age experienced some short of white
vaginal discharge in their life. White vaginal discharges along-with
symptoms of feeling of weakness, pain in back, itching vulva and loss
of vital fluids etc. These all symptoms are also found in leucorrhoea
which is described as Shweta-Pradara in Ayurvedic classics. Women’s
health is of great importance for their family & for the new progeny
healthy Yoni or reproductive tract is needed. White vaginal discharge
the symptom is present in both physiological and pathological
condition, when it becomes pathological it disturbs routine life style of
the woman. A female patient suffering from Shweta-Pradara was
treated with Shamana Chikitsa by giving Bhumyamalaki Churna with Tandulodaka and she
got excellent relief in symptoms by the above treatment.
