. Abstract Objective: In the present research work, the dissolution of the cefuroxime axetil was enhanced by using the deep eutectic solvent mixture and also improved the solubility of cefuroxime axetil. Methods: Fourteen formulations were prepared (CCDES1-14). Result and Discussion: The dissolution of the cefuroxime axetil was enhanced by using of the deep eutectic solvent mixture. The melting point range for cefuroxime axetil was 200.66°C±0.57-205.66°C±1.52. The standards calibration curve showed a linear connection between concentration and absorbance with a linear equation of Y=0.0453x- 0.0017 and a linear coefficient of 0.999. In the FT-IR spectra of pure CA, two separate absorption bands were observed at 3313.71cm-1 and 3190.68 cm-1 for N–H stretching (primary amide), and C=O stretching of β-lactam, carbamyl and amide groups was observed at 1761.47 and 1678.97 cm-1 and 1532.37 cm-1, respectively. The drug peak in the deep eutectic mixed solvent formulation CCDES14 was not seen with reduced intensity. Conclusion: The dissolution of the cefuroxime axetil was successfully enhanced by using of the deep eutectic solvent mixture. Keywords: Dissolution, cefuroxime axetil, deep eutectic solvent mixture.
