EFFECT OF DUSHIVISHARI AGAD IN DUSHIVISHJANYA KSHEENSHUKRATA (OLIGOSPERMIA): A CASE STUDY

Abstract

Dushivisha is a unique concept of Ayurveda. Bruhatrayi explains spectrum of Dushivisha concept in many ways as a important concept related in Vishatatra statement. Dushivisha is any low potency toxic substance which vitiates the Dhatus when favorable condition occurs. In today’s fast and busy lifestyle every person is exposed to toxins in many ways like long term use of medications, exposure to poisonous metals and chemicals, excessive alcohol drinking, cigarette smoking, tobacco chewing etc. after exposure to body some components eradicated from body and some part of them remains in body for long time which can cause the Dushti of Dhatu and Dosha. The component which is responsible for Dhatudushti called as Dushivisha. According to Ayurveda this Dushivish can cause Ksheenshukrata (oligospermia) in Body. The present case study is an attempt to diagnose the oligospermia in terms of Dushivishjanya Ksheenshukrata and treat it accordingly by Dushivishaghna treatment.
