THERAPEUTIC ACTION OF RASONADI VATI IN KASHTARTAVA W.S.R. PRIMARY DYSMENORHEA

Abstract
Kashtartava w.s.r. primary dysmenorhea is a problem affects the females of reproductive age group as painful menstruation in each cycle. Kashtartava is a primarily a vata Dosha vikriti due to vegavrodh, excessive exercise, hot and dry items. Due to excessive nidana intake, apana vayu gets aggravated and moves in upward direction and occupies the entire yoni. Here the treatment drug that is studied is Rasonadi vati. Rasona being a vata shamak dravya shows relief in primary dysmenorhea and pelvic infamatory disease. Study design: the study is done over 30 patient suffering from Kashtartava, inclusive and exclusive criteria is stated in study below. Rasonadi vati is given to patient in dise of 3 gm BD with warm water till the cycle goes on with prescribed pathya apathya. Assesment is done over the subjective parameter and associated symptoms like rajasrava avadhi, chhardi, kati shoola, artava pramana etc and the result in patient were favorable Rasonadi vati act effectively over the primary dysmenorhea.
